Welcome to Summer!!

Welcome to Summer everyone!! I love spring, when it finally starts to get nice out but summer is where it’s at! Longer nights, beautiful sunsets, beach days, spending days and nights outside…there’s so much fun to be had and so many great styles to wear.

I think the biggest difference with spring and summer styles, is keeping cool especially on those extra hot days and while layering isn’t as necessary, it’s good for those nights with a light breeze.

Here are a few styles that I love to wear in the summer:

Shorts. Sounds like a no-brainer, right? With so many styles and fabrics to choose from, you’ll never have to think about what to wear.

Denim shorts. So casual and comfy to wear. Pair them with a t-shirt, blouse or tank (like below) and a pair of flats or sandal for an easy outfit.

AG The Austen-3 Years Arid Short

Printed shorts. This style has really gotten big this year, and it’s for a reason. They can be dressed up or down, and taken from day to night depending on how you style them with tops like below and a pair of strapy sandals.

A.L.C. Marx Printed Relax Silk Shorts

Go for relaxed tops this summer, to keep cool, comfy and chic with cotton tee's/tanks and silky blouses.
Rag & Bone The Pocket Tee Jersey T-Shirt

Vince Sleeves Satin/Slub Surplice Top

Skinny Jeans. I think that they can be worn all year round but there’s something about them in the summer that I just love, especially ankle-cropped ones or distressed paired with some chic sandals and you’re all set.

Rag & Bone The Skinny Jean

AG Skinny Distressed Ankle Jean

Dresses. Seems obvious, but with so many different styles to choose from, you’ll never have to think twice.

I love the simplicity of this dress, but with the twist detail and cutout, it makes it a little more chic. Pair it with black sandals and black or red cross body bag.

A.L.C. Webster Dress

Maxi (or Midi) dresses are so comfortable for the summer, and so easy to wear. A pink-striped dress like this is with an ombre effect is great paired with a nude cross body or top-handle and gold or brown sandals.
Soft Joie Emilia Dress

Sandals. I love sandals, and in the summer, they’re my go-to. Thong, gladiator, strappy…with so many styles, you can’t go wrong.

I believe you should have one pair of black and neutral sandals (you can also go with a metallic).

Simple neutral sandals are made for summer and will go with any outfit.
Prada Saffiano Double Ankle-Wrap Sandal

I love the detailing on these sandals. They'll add an edgy look to your outfit.
Valentino Rockstud Texture-Leather Sandal

These are just some of the summer styles I love, but the great thing about this season is you have so many options to choose from. So have fun!
