Makeup Clean Out

We all love makeup. There's nothing quite as fun as buying a new lipstick, or getting a new sample of mascara, but how many times have you gotten something and find that you haven't actually worn it more than once?

Always make sure you're using makeup that isn't expired, or be sure to buy new products before their supposed to expire.

Here is the basic time frame for how long products should be used:

Mascara: 3 Months - I think this is one of the big ones you really have to pay attention to. Since this product goes directly near your eyes, you want to make sure you keep a close tab on how long you've had it. I think the best way to do this is by buying one at the beginning of the year so you know when you need a new one.

Liquid Eyeliner: 3-6 Months - Same idea as Mascara

Foundation: 6-8 Months - You don't want to apply something to your face that has a bad smell, or even worse if the colour has changed.

Concealer: 1 Year - Same idea as Foundation

Eyeshadow, Blush, Bronzer: 2-3 Years - Of course if you use certain shades more than others, you'll be replacing sooner.

Lip Gloss: 1 Year - It might not seem like it, but lip glosses can go bad. In terms of smell, and consistency or colour of the product.

Lip Stick: 1 Year - Same as above.

Nail Polish: 1 year, or when it starts to get thick. Even though thinners do work, sometimes it they just don't help.

If you use some product every day, or on a regular basis, chances are you're buying new ones often enough to re-stock up on what you need.
