What's trendy...

The main reason I started this blog is because I love fashion and I want to work in the industry. Behind-the-scenes or in a cooperate matter, where I can share my views and opinions on what I think is style, or fashion is.

Red Carpets, Awards shows, trends, designers…I follow it all and love it. To me, seeing what new style is “in” makes is exciting and whether I decide to try it out or not.

Some recent trends I love are leather leggings or jeans. I know, they probably don’t sound great but trust me when you want to be comfy but still look good they work. It’s all about finding the right pair.

I also love the idea of leather tops, skirts and dresses. They’re fun and can be worn for day or night, especially when it’s cooler out. Throw on a cardigan or blazer and mix in some black tights and you’re set.

Printed pants are awesome. There are so many styles, prints and colours to choose from and they can be dressed up or down and paired with a simple top. Love it.

Chunky knit sweaters are my newest obsession. They’re so warm when it’s freezing out and even when it’s nicer, throw one on and you don’t have to worry about a jacket.

Though I have yet to find a pair, I definitely love oxfords. They’re so easy to wear and are a great alternative to flats or even boots on a chilly day. With so many styles, colours and fabrics to choose from…you can’t go wrong!

I’ve found a new love for boots. Whether they’re motorcycle, ankle or short-flat ones…I love them. There are so many different styles to choose from, add in a chunky heel or wedge, and it’s even better. I find that Aldo has a great selection to choose from, and they have a nice price range.

Now, when it comes to the higher end designers I love the Rag & Bone Classic Newbury heeled ankle boot, which comes in so many colours and fabrics.

Jimmy Choo’s Youth Biker Boot that is simple, yet edgy and definitely a classic.

Isabel Marant’s Dicker ankle boot that comes in great neutral colours can be paired with anything, and her Etoile Crisi Suede Wedge boot; lots of neutral colours, that also comes in black leather. Both styles are amazing.

Statement jackets will be your favourite piece for spring. Trust me; just throw one on before leaving the house and they polish any look. With so many different styles to choose from, you won’t find one that doesn’t work.

One high-end designer I love is IRO, who makes them simple but dressy enough to wear everyday.

Stripes are great, no really…they are. Wear them with jeans and flats for comfort, or with a blazer and skinny or cropped pant for work. There’s so many colours to choose from not to mention you can get them in a thinner or wider strip. There’s no wrong way to wear them.

Also loving cargo/military jackets. These are a great alternative when you want something a little more casual but still give an edge. I like to pair mine with everything. Jeans. Leggings. Boots. Converse. Flats. Sweaters. Knit tops. You name it I wear it.

High-end designer Current/Elliot has a great one that's slouchy and the sleeves roll up. Perfect for day or night.

These are just some of the trends that I’ve loved this season, and I have no doubt that they’ll stick around for a long time.
