Little bit about me. I’m 25, live in Toronto and love
fashion.
I actually can’t remember where it all started (although
moving to Toronto probably helped) but to me, it’s one of those things where I
don’t question it.
Fashion is my passion. I think about what I’m going to wear,
sometimes obsess over it, but I keep up with magazines, trends, designers, and
make sure that my outfit always looks good. Which to some
may seem crazy, but that’s just me.
My style has definitely changed and evolved over the years,
though there were times where I’ve gotten it wrong I can now look back and just
laugh knowing that it won’t be happening again.
I mainly shop at Gap, Old Navy and Joe Fresh, as they have
great deals keep on trends without being too pricey, which is important. Oh and
I love Forever 21’s skinny jeans.
Some might say that style isn’t important but I believe
differently. You never know whom you’re going to run into or what will happen,
so why not look your best.
Now let’s talk high end!
While I may not be able to afford (yet…), I love the more
expensive designers out there. J Brand, AG, Hudson, Paige, Rag & Bone,
Current/Elliot are my favourites for denim and leather leggings. Along with
them, Joie/Soft Joie, Splendid, Helmut Lang, James Perse, IRO, Rachel Zoe, T by
Alexander Wang, Theory and Vince are just some of the designers I love. Not to
mention Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Casadei, Giuseppe Zanotti for
shoes…can’t forget shoes!
I also love Michael Kors, Dior, Chanel, Elie Saab, Reem
Acra, Giambattista Valli, Lanvin, Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren
on the red carpet.
One of my favourite events, New York Fashion Week just ended
and despite the weather (seriously, mother nature; not fun) the designers
pulled off some incredible shows to debut their 2014 Fall Ready-To-Wear
Collections.
Some of my personal favourites:
-Rebecca Taylor…She used cool colours and pastels, to give
everything a soft edge perfect for fall/winter. I love how feminine her pieces
are, while still using neutral colours.

-Theory…I love this designer because he creates chic and
modern pieces that are both simple yet structured. Pieces have an edge to them
while staying feminine.

-Tory Burch…She used different patterns, embellishments and
textures to create some truly beautiful pieces. They have a modern-boho feel
and are perfect for fall.

-Vera Wang…She went with an edge that added into the
different textures, yet still maintaining elegance.

-Badgley Mischka…They showed off some amazing pieces, with a
mix of patterns, metallic and fabric. Definitely gorgeous for fall.

-Marchesa...Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman create some
gorgeous pieces with a mix of beautiful rich colours, delicate lace and
distinctive patterns.

-Ralph Lauren…Simplicity, elegance and soft colours blended
with delicate and rich fabrics makes for classic pieces that’ll be great for
fall.

There are also a few selected pieces from some designers I
loved including Hugo Boss, Michael Kors and Lela Rose.
Getting to see all the behind-the-scenes action on Instagram
was a lot of fun too. So much work goes into prepping the runway shows, making
sure that everything is perfect knowing how many eyes are on the designers to
put on amazing shows; and I can say that each one of them succeeded.
So, that’s me and a peek inside what this blog is about. My
love of fashion.
Stay tuned for more!!
