Product Round Up

I think it's safe to say that 2016 is the year of trying new products.

I've always wanted to try self tanners but have been slightly afraid. I didn't want one that went on dark, made me look orange or was difficult to use. I've heard really great things about St. Tropez, so when I got this I was excited to try it out and let me tell you, it's one of the best self tanners. So easy to use and gave me really beautiful natural colour. Make sure you purchase a Tan Applicator Mit to apply it.

I've always wanted to try an eyebrow pencil but didn't want anything that would make my brows look unnatural, or harsh. I went to the States recently and whilst browsing in the cosmetics isle, I saw brand and how inexpensive it was (no, really, I think it was 1 or 2 dollars) and thought, why not. If I don't like it, I'm not wasting a lot of money. Surprisingly enough, I really like it. The pencil is soft and goes on smoothly and the brush blends the colour very nice.

This is probably my favourite mascara. I've used it for years until it was discontinued in Canada, but on a recent trip to the States, I stocked up! It makes me eyelashes look open and keeps the curl.

Taking care of my skin is very important to me. I always take off my makeup and wash my face every night. I was on the hunt for a new cleanser and doing my research (as I always do), I looked through Neutrogena products. One thing I love about this cleanser is how foamy is gets, which makes my skin feel clean and fresh after, plus has a light refreshing scent.

Product Round-Up

I've recently purchased some new drugstore products and wanted to share them.

Rimmel Natural Waterproof Bronzer in Sun Bronze. I heard about this bronzer and thought to check it out. Now, I've honestly never used bronzer before and have been wary about it, simply because I wasn't sure which colour worked for me. One thing I like about this one, is that it's not too dark and just gives me subtle colour. I sweep it along my cheek bones in an upwards motion, also applying it to my nose, forehead and a bit on my jawline area (areas the sun would naturally hit).

Almay Smart Shade CC Luminous Primer. I've always been curious about primers and what I like about this one is the subtle glow it gives my skin, along with evening out my skin tone. I apply this after my usual moisturizer and before foundation.

Benefit Watt's Up!. Truthfully, I got this as a sample a long time ago and just started using it, but now I don't know why I waited so long as I'm really loving it. Such an easy product to use and the results are amazing. I love the "strobing" trend because it's not only very simple but the glow that it gives my skin. I apply it right about my cheek bones and blend.

L'Oreal Visible Lift-Colour Life Blush in Pink Lift. What I love about this blush is the texture and how easy it blends. It's not too pink but has tourmaline pearls that really bring out the colour.

2016 Cannes Film Festival

The Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France is by far the most glamorous movie premiere for selected films to debut.

Usually I would pick 3 looks, but with so many Photocalls, Parties and Premieres it was difficult, with so many incredible outfits that I'm going to share my favourites looks.

Blake Lively at the Cafe Society Premiere in Custom Atelier Versace. Showing off her little baby bump is this stunning gold gown with beautiful almost sheer design and crystals.

Amal Clooney at the Money Monster Premiere in Custom Atelier Versace. This one-shouler yellow gown with the one shoulder and draping is stunning.
Blake Lively at a Vanity Fair Party in Chanel. I love the simplicity of the red and white dress with the bright floral detailed coat and sparkly shoes.

Kendall Jenner at the Mangum Double Party in Versace. Say what you will, but her style is always gorgeous and I love the deep colours and style of this dress, especially paired with a red lip.

Kate Hudson at the Harmonist Cocktail Party in Custom Roberto Cavalli. The icy blue colour of this dress with the cutout details are stunning.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at The Unknown Girl Premiere in Alexandre Vauthier. The bright red is such a gorgeous colour, paired with a red lip and bun shows off the halter detail beautifully.

Alessandra Ambrosio at The Unknown Girl Premiere in Custom Michael Kors. On the runway this dress is shorter but the longer version here is simply stunning. I love the high slit and the metal ring details are gorgeous.

Charlize Theron at The Last Face Photocall in Givenchy. The scalloped lace details of this pale pink dress paired with a bold lip and dark sandal are perfection.

Charlize Theron at The Last Face Premiere in Custom Dior Pantsuit. Chic and fabulous are the best ways to describe this look.

Chanel Resort 2017 Collection

No one does it like Karl Lagerfeld.

The Head designer and Creative Director for Chanel knows how to put on a spectacular runway, themed and extravagant to show off his latest collection. For Resort 2017, he travelled to Cube to showcase the gorgeous pieces.

Black, white, feathers, prints, tweed, tule, embroidery...it has it all.

2016 Met Gala

The first Monday in May means one thing...the Met Gala. Arguably one of the biggest nights in fashion, is also called the Super Bowl of Fashion. This event is an invite only and attendees dress according to the theme, which this year is Manus x Machina.

Here are my 3 best dressed.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in custom Ralph Lauren. While the dress is simple in white, the draping along with the metallic shoulder detail make this dress gorgeous.

Cindy Crawford in custom Balmain. This form fitting, silver gown with nude panels is incredible. Being the OG of supermodels it's easy to see why...she always gets it right.

Blake Lively in custom Burberry. I was very surprised to learn that she was wearing burberry, not because I don't love the designer (because I do) but I've never seen a dress like this by him before and it's absolutely stunning. I love the floral details and sheer train.

Honorary Mentions:

Beyonce in custom Givenchy Latex. Yes, you read correctly...she wore latex. Now Beyonce is known for wearing unique pieces and when it comes to an event like the Met Gala, she thinks outside the box and really looks amazing every time.

Claire Danes in custom light up Zac Posen. This ball gown was incredible because it actually lit-up when the lights were off.
